This Privacy Policy explains how kue ("kue," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website at https://kue.gg (the "Site") and join our closed-alpha waitlist.
Scope. This policy covers the kue.gg marketing website and alpha waitlist only. The kue application itself — which connects to your game data through Riot Games — is governed by a separate in-product privacy notice and is not described here.
We have written this policy to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA/CPRA"). Because our players come from around the world, we apply these protections broadly.
Kue is a closed-alpha project and the data controller for the information described here. As kue is not yet incorporated, the responsible individual is:

Given the small volume of data we handle, we are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer. You can raise any privacy matter at legal@kue.gg.
Through the Site we collect a deliberately small amount of data:
The Site has no user accounts and no passwords. We do not collect payment details, special-category data, or the detailed match/gameplay data that the kue application obtains from Riot Games — that data is handled only inside the application under its separate notice.
Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your personal data:

Withdrawing consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by emailing legal@kue.gg. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with a small number of trusted processors that help us run the Site and waitlist, each under its own terms and safeguards:
We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public. If the project is ever transferred to a new entity, data may move with it subject to this policy.
We are based in France. Some of our processors (for example Resend and Cloudflare) may process data outside the EEA/UK, including in the United States. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. You may request details using the contacts above.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics and do not use tracking or advertising cookies. A consent banner on the Site lets you accept or decline; your choice is stored locally on your device, and you can change it at any time by clearing the Site's storage.
When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and trusted processors — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify you and the relevant authority of a personal data breach where required by law.

Categories we collect. In the past 12 months, through the Site we have collected:
No sale or sharing. We do not sell or "share" (for cross-context behavioural advertising) your personal information, and have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not knowingly sell the personal information of consumers under 16.
As a California resident you have the right to know/access, delete, and correct your personal information, to opt out of any sale or sharing (not applicable, as we do neither), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, email legal@kue.gg. We verify requests using the email address associated with your data, and you may use an authorised agent with proof of authorisation.
Kue is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
The Site may link to third-party services (for example Riot Games, Discord, or social media). We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
